Remember this post? Yup, this is from Smile Pretty Cure Episode 22 and Gokaiger Episode 31 about the day that become tragedy by the defeat of powerful villain. If you compare them to game, this is Game Over for heroes in that series, or more clearly the battle impossible to win to advance the story.
By the way, what is Game Over? If you're familiiar with video games you can see this often if all your HP (Health Points/Hit Points) were lost, for hero and/or all current party. Here, I'll show some Game Over screens from various sources. First off is Mega Man X Command Mission.
This one has all members kneeled down if their LE (Life Energy and similar to HP) like what I explain about this game that my brother ever played until he dropped the game for being unable to defeat the final boss (it's the spoiler that is better if you play or watch the game). However, after this dialogue is seen "Your party was defeated" (パーティが全滅した・・ Pāti ga zenmetsu shita..) then you'll be shifted into the options Retry, Load and Game Over like in the right picture. Retry will start over the the previous battle, Load will reload your saved game, but if you choose Game Over...
...This will occur. And you'll returned back into the title..hack//G.U., but more cruel than Command Mission. If all of your member kneels in battle then it's auto Game Over for you. But you have the options to retry battle if Haseo loses in Lumina Cloth Arena.
Next stuff is Persona 5. But be careful! This might stand that the party were all wiped down, but no. If the Hero (Joker)'s HP reached 000, then it's GAME OVER even though the rest of the party are still alive. Like this:
See? Horrible, is it?
Aikatsu in left, Aikatsu Stars in center and Otoca D'Or on right. But it's only as "Not Pass" (不合格 Fugōkaku) if you play badly in the rhythm game. Otoca D'Or has "You Defeated" (キミの負け Kimi no Make) no matter which name you've putted into your PC, and can be done by reducing your PC's HP to 0.
And that's all. See you in my next post!
